Engaging asset and property management companies is a key factor in the development of each project
Novaston real estate, asset and property platform was a proud sponsor of the 15th annual international real estate development conference, held on May 14th and 15th this year at the hotel Esplanade in Zagreb. CEO Mia Zecevic participated in two panels, talking about project methodology in retail parks, shopping centers, as well as sharing plans for the future.
The first panel "Ladies only - Women's perspective on real estate development" was dedicated to key issues important for the whole region, with regard to real estate, development and investment. The panel was led by Natasa Kalauz, Business Development Manager - EU Business.org, and together with Mia Zecevic, other panelists were Helena Knific Schaps, President - Europan Croatia, Vedrana Likan, Managing partner - Colliers International Croatia, Slovenia, BiH, Petra Svekin, Company Director - HPB Real Estate Ltd. and President of the Board of the Croatian Council for Green Building and Marija Bojovic Partner - Bojovi, Draskovic, Popovic & Partners. Panelists discussed a number of topics, among others, the upcoming trends, the potentials of the region when it comes to new investors from China, South Africa and Arab countries, as well as the situation in the commercial real estate market in the region.
On the second panel, "Rubik's cube of the structure of the development and (re)financing of large commercial RE projects in the countries of South-East Europe", discussions were led on large residential projects in Serbia and the region, the project A Block and its development, syndical loans and mix-use projects (a combination of residential-business-retail space) and how to determine the optimal mix, NPL and how to act in order for a project not to become NPL with active participation of asset and property management.
