Corporate Social Responsibility in the time of coronavirus

Mia Zečević

We continue to implement corporate social responsibility. Although, as a company, we are very much affected by the situation, we do our best to help the community by engaging in various charitable activities in every way we can. So far, we have been involved in the procurement of protective equipment for those who are most needed of this type of assistance at the moment.

“As Novaston platform deals with specific services in various fields, we have decided to make our social media channels and website available to a number of experts who we cooperate with, in order for them to answer various questions and to make it easier for all of us to survive the "corona" situation. A few days before the state of emergency, most of the employees of the companies that make up our Novaston platform started working from home. For our property and facility managers who are still on the premises, the necessary protective equipment is provided. We follow the official measures at all times and we are doing our best to keep our employees safe. It is important to emphasize that at no point did we stop working - we formed a crisis team and introduced on-call duties, established clear lines of communication with clients. Our company has specific partners and clients, owners and investors of shopping centers, retail parks, business premises, and other real estate assets, to whom we are at disposal for rapid resolution of crisis situations, considering the fact that the state imposes specific measures, at daily bases, that need to be implemented as soon as possible and according to which business operations must be adjusted. Since we have partners and associates abroad, this involves not only being constantly “in touch” with them and informing them promptly of any decisions and changes but also giving them specific suggestions and advice on how to maintain the business in this period. We exchange experience and all relevant data with our colleagues from Croatia and other countries in the region that are, like Serbia, affected by this spread of the coronavirus”, said Mia Zecevic, CEO of Novaston Platform.
